Every day there are a large number of startups launching on AWS across every imaginable industry. It’s Mackenzie’s mission to find stories of startups that are helping to improve the world and share these stories with a wide audience.

Prior to joining AWS, Mackenzie was the Head of Technical Operations at Betterment, the world’s largest independent robo-advisor based in NYC which manages over $8B in assets. Mackenzie was a founding engineer and Head of Technical Operations at Oscar Health, an insurance startup also based in NYC, helping to grow the company to over 400+ employees.

Erin has spent her career at the intersection of financial services and technology - first, in various leadership roles with The Bancorp and Green Dot, and later as the Chief Operating Officer of Bloom Credit.
Sam is a partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners on the fintech investment team. Sam began her career in Sales and Product at Google, where she helped early to growth stage VC-backed businesses scale their user bases. In her last role as a Global Product Lead, she was responsible for the go-to-market strategy and commercialization of a multi-billion dollar product and Google’s first Machine Learning-driven advertising solution.
An early investor in Facet, Joshi joined as Chief Operating Officer in 2021 to spearhead Facet’s transformation from a financial planning company to a consumer subscription leader. In 2023, Joshi became President & COO of Facet, overseeing all go-to-market efforts for the business. Backed by a mission to spread financial wellness to all Americans, Joshi's focus has been on building efficient, scalable service delivery systems and growth for the company. Joshi is widely recognized for driving efficient, rapid growth at B2C and B2B companies across every stage, from startups to enterprise businesses. A former consumer tech founder and Fortune 15 executive, she has invested and advised many businesses across multiple industries on business strategies to drive client acquisition and retention and develop innovative, end-to-end client experiences. Joshi was formerly an equity partner at Altman Vilandrie & Company (AV&Co.), now Altman Solon, where she built and ran the firm’s Growth Practice. Prior to that, she was an executive at Verizon Communications, where she led new acquisition growth for consumer FiOS and core network products.
Stephanie is a Partner at Nyca and leads the firm's investments across digital identity, fraud, loyalty, and insurtech. Prior to joining Nyca, Stephanie was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs in the Investment Banking Division. Stephanie worked across both the Sydney and New York offices as part of the Financial Institutions Group, with a focus on financial technology. Stephanie received her Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales.
Katie Price is Head of Ventures for S&P Global, responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the S&P Global venture capital and principal investment program and portfolio. Prior to this role Katie worked in strategic and operational roles for IHS Markit, most recently as Chief Operating Officer of one of its divisions. Katie started her career in finance with J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs.
Cathy Ross is a distinguished American businesswoman and entrepreneur. As the co-founder and president of Fraud.net, she leads a global enterprise renowned for its AI-powered fraud prevention and risk management solutions. A trailblazer in the fintech industry, Ms. Ross began her illustrious career as an analyst at JPMorgan Chase in New York City, quickly ascending to prominent roles in investment banking, focusing on technology companies. Her entrepreneurial journey includes founding and scaling multiple technology ventures, notably Mothernature.com, where she achieved significant growth and recognition. Ross is also a fervent advocate for women in business, actively mentoring young African American entrepreneurs and sharing her expertise on fostering diversity in the fintech sector. Her work has earned her features in prestigious publications like the New York Times, Forbes, and Inc. Magazine, and she is a sought-after speaker at industry events hosted by giants like Mastercard and Amazon Web Services. In addition to her leadership at Fraud.net, Ross contributes her expertise to several boards, underlining her commitment to innovation and excellence in the business world.
